Hey guess what?! I'm going to Hawai'i in a few days! Two, to be exact. Yep, this Tuesday, Oct. 14, I'll be on a plane to the big 'H'. Oahu, to be specific. It's a long story and no, I can't *really* afford it, but I'm going anyway. I'm taking the trip with my mom in honor of both of our milestone birthdays this year: her 50th, my 30th.
I'm excited, of course, but not as excited as I think I'd be. Part of it is that I should be using the money for something more worthwhile (foundation repair, anyone? Boy have I been avoiding *that* issue). The other part is, I'm not sure why. I wish Chris and I were going together, of course. I don't know. I'm sure I'll have a good time, and I'm sure it'll be fun. I hate to say it, but oftentimes I resist change and tend to think the worst. Unfortunately, I'm not the spontaneous free spirit I wish I was.
I've also decided to fast for Ramadan this year. For the first time in a few years I actually seriously considered not doing it. But I will. And this year I think I'll do an online Ramadan diary. Maybe that'll keep me blogging on something like a regular basis. I know, I know, I've said it before, but this time...
