*Sigh*
I really despise television news. This may seem strange for someone who watches TV as much as I do (then again, maybe not. I do work for a newspaper after all). Yesterday was a prime example of the vapidity of TV news.
I spent 20 minutes after El Jefe Bush made his remarks watching ABC, I think it was (Am I the only one who feels a sort of grim nostalgia for the smirking, frat-boy Bush of yore? He's still a smirking frat boy, but now he's got to put on his serious face and try to co-opt an air of gravity. I still can't believe this guy is president.). Anyway, they spent the entire 20 minutes pontificating and ruminating on...nothing!
They didn't know anything, they obviously didn't know anything, yet they had to fill the screen with something and somebody doing some talking about what they thought might possibly be happening. Pathetic!
I think, as in the first Gulf War, I'll pass.
